Start with one answer. Give yourself around 15 minutes to make a first set of notes. You can come back and keep building.
A moment from the mentl awards 2025
Your private starting point
Open the invitation link you received from mentl to begin. Your notes are available only through your private access link. Keep it to yourself.
ONE ONLINE ENTRY · YOUR WORDS · YOUR TEAM
You already have a starting point.
You don’t need a finished success story to start. Talk about what you tried, what happened and what you’re still learning. Rough notes are welcome.
What would you like to enter?
Choose the category that best fits your work. You can reconsider your selection until you start.
Not sure which category?
Match the category to the work you want to describe, including any sector or organisation-size requirement. Your choice sets the questions. After starting, use Entry settings to preview a different category and create a new version while keeping the original.
Answer one question at a time. Your words save automatically. You can leave them as rough notes, develop them later, or invite a colleague.
Either is fine. You can switch between talking and typing as you go.
Ready to talk?
Recording is optional. To speak your answers, confirm consent and check your microphone here. You can also start with typed notes.
Recording consent confirmed
Everyone taking part agrees to recording and transcription by AssemblyAI. Avoid personal health details or confidential information you do not have permission to share.
Your confirmation is saved for your access to this entry. Please confirm with anyone new who joins before recording them.
First, allow microphone access. Then choose your input and speak to check it.

Your notes save here; this does not submit an awards entry. Keep your original invitation link to return. Returning later and recording time
Your invitation works for seven days. If it expires, contact the mentl organiser to arrange access to your saved notes; expiry does not delete them.
The entry has a shared allowance of 15 minutes of audio. This is not a time limit for writing or editing. You and your colleagues can keep developing your notes after the audio is used.
YOUR PRIVATE PREPARATION SPACE
My entries
Each entry has its own category, answers and colleague invitations. These are preparation notes, not submitted awards entries.
Return through your original private invitation link to find entries you create here. Other invitations you open in this browser also appear while their access remains valid.

15:00 recording available
Preview mode: live transcription is not connected yet. Try the prompts and download using your own typed notes.
Build this entry together
One entry, one shared set of answers. Send each colleague their link once. You both return through your own links; edits save automatically.
Working together on Teams or Zoom?
One person can share their screen while you discuss a section, then type your agreed notes or record a spoken recap with everyone’s consent. This tool records the selected microphone, not the call audio.
You can also contribute separately through your own links. Work on different sections or take turns on one answer. Saved changes appear after a few seconds when your colleague is not typing.
Create a link labelled with your colleague’s email.
Copy and send it to them by email or WhatsApp.
Keep working here. Both of you can update the same answers; changes save automatically.
This pilot is running on this computer. Invitations will work on other computers once the app is hosted online.
This does not send an email. The link gives editing access, so share it only with the named colleague. You can remove access below. Email ownership is not verified.
Entry settings
Change category safely
We keep this entry, its recordings and history as your original. A new version opens in the category you choose. Notes only carry across when the judging criteria match; you can still find all original material in My entries.
Colleagues keep access to the original entry. Invite them separately to the new version. Check any carried notes against the new category before using them.
A few rough notes are enough for now. You can skip this question and come back.
Judging criterion & writing guidance
Suggested lengths are for developing your entry later, not a target for this first conversation.
Things you might include
These are prompts, not requirements. Talk only about what actually happened in your work.
A newer version has been saved
Your words are still in the answer box above. Compare the saved version below, copy across anything you want to keep, then save your combined answer.
Your previous unsaved words
Earlier saved versions
Your recording becomes saved text. You can leave it as it is, or make changes. Check names and numbers before using it in your entry.
YOUR SAVED PREPARATION NOTES
You’ve made a start.
You can carry on editing here, invite a colleague, or download a copy. You do not need to download to save. Return through your original invitation link whenever you want to continue.
Ask the entry owner if you would like another colleague to join.

Need a copy to keep or share?
A PDF includes your saved answers and separate development prompts. It is a snapshot; later online edits will not update the downloaded file.
Optional: download an editable offline copy
This HTML file works separately from your online entry. Changes in it do not sync with colleagues. Use its Download my changes button to save a new file. For collaboration, keep working online above.
Your notes are saved. Your awards entry has not been submitted.
Notes and transcripts are stored privately on the mentl service. Audio is sent to AssemblyAI only after you finish an answer; this app does not retain the uploaded audio. AssemblyAI also processes and retains data under its service settings. This pilot is for English conversations. Private links expire after seven days; expiry does not delete your notes. Contact the organiser for deletion. Invitations allow up to 15 minutes of audio. Downloads contain your checked or typed notes, not a judges’ assessment.
